Tutor LMS and Masteriyo LMS are two names that will pop up often when you search for the best WordPress LMS plugins online. Collectively, these two plugins power close to a 100,000 elearning and online course business worldwide.

Let’s discuss the pricing first. Here, both Tutor LMS and Masteriyo have adopted a Freemium pricing model under which you can install and use the basic features of these plugins for free but have to pay to unlock advanced functionalities.

You get all the core LMS features like course creation, quizzes, review and rating, and user registration with both the plugins. Majority of the free integrations and addons are the same between the two LMS plugins. 

That said, Masteriyo offers a pre-built order system with PayPal support to its free users. On the other hand, Tutor LMS has no monetization option in its basic tier.

Initial Setup 

You will have no problem getting started with either Tutor LMS or Masteriyo. Both have easy-to-follow installation procedures.

Certificate Builder 

Certificate Builder is only available as a paid add-on on Tutor LMS and Masteriyo LMS. You get drag and drop builder on both with dedicated certificate blocks. Tutor LMS boasts 10+ certificate blocks, whereas Masteriyo only has 3.
